Important Letter to Friends
If you care about children; if you care about peace.

Dear Friends of the Multifaith Education Project,

We’re here because we believe that people can live together peacefully with respect no matter what their differences.

For seven years we have brought together Jewish, Christian and Muslim middle-school students, ages 11-14, to get to know one another. Our belief is that if they can learn what’s sacred to the other, they can honor that holy place and do nothing to defile it.

It works!

We have watched the students stand quietly and respectfully in another's house of worship; have listened as they share with one another what “peace”means in their holy books; have delighted as they partook of one another’s special foodsor stories; have been so proud as together they have planted nearly 200 trees around the city of Winter Park.

Its simple, but its not easy. We must have your financial support to keep these doors open and to keep these miracles happening.

Your financial gift helps fund transportation for the students so that they can visit each other's schools. And your contributions will make it possible for the students to publish a book they are creating about their shared traditions.

There has never been a more important time to plant these seeds for peace!

Listen to the words of one of our supporters:

More than ever. recent events remind me of the important work you do and the good you serve.  From the vicious hysterics over the "Ground Zero Mosque" to the Qur'an burning promotion by a Gainesville church, we're a long way from honoring a multi-faith world community.

If I haven't said it before or recently, let me say it now:  THANK YOU!

Julie Sullivan

Julie gets it. The students get it. How about you?

In peace, shalom, salaam,

Louise Sheehy
